Welcome to Die Strandhuis

"Umdloti is a small village along the warm Indian Ocean, 11km south of King Shaka Airport and 25 km north of Durban."

The House For privacy let only to one family or a group that knows each other. Sleeps four to seven people. The HOUSE, surrounded by a garden, has a very large stoep with a built-in Braai. It has a lounge/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and scullery, three bedrooms with sea views, two bathrooms and a lock-up double garage.

Die Strandhuis has 4 separate self-catering options: The House (minimum of 4 guests), The Embuia, The Rosewood and a deluxe unit - Greta's. All are situated in a garden, have full sea view, are 50m from the beach and allow small breed doggies on request. Each room has a ceiling fan. No parties allowed.

All are serviced daily except Sundays and public holidays. Bath towels, all linen and dishcloths are supplied – bring beach towels. M-Net, M- Net Magic 1 & 2, KykNet, all Sports Channels, SABC 1, 2, 3 and E-TV are available.

Excellent restaurants, one of which serves a very good breakfast from 07h00, are just 500m walking distance from Die Strandhuis.

1. After exiting follow the N2 S (Durban) signage.
2. Follow this road for 7km, turn left at the Verulam/ Umdloti off ramp.
3. Follow the Umdloti signage until you get to the circle in Umdloti.
The ocean is now right in front of you.
4. Proceed around the circle to the right into South Beach Road.
5. About 500m from the circle go right into Margaret Bacon Ave.
6. The house is No. 4 Margaret Bacon Ave, on the left.

From Gauteng.
1. You will approach Durban on the N3
2. Just after the Pavilion Shopping Centre, take the N2 North off ramp.
3. Proceed along this highway for approx 25km.
4. Take the Umdloti/Verulam off ramp.
5. Turn right at the Stop street.
6. Proceed along this road for approx 2km until you get to the traffic circle.
7. Proceed around the circle to the right into South Beach Road.
8. About 500m from the circle go right into Margaret Bacon Ave.
9. The house is No. 4 Margaret Bacon Ave, on the left.

From St. Lucia.
1. You will approach Umdloti on the N2.
2. Take the Umdloti/Verulam off ramp.
3. Turn left at the Stop street.
