Green House is an environmentally friendly bed and breakfast style hostel, furnished in natural, ecologically sourced products.
We support the idea of sustainable and healthy living, and love to share it with guests, by home baking, cooking and juicing using fruits and vegetables grown locally. Much of our décor is handcrafted by local artists and each piece is available for sale should any of the guests fall in love!
Green House offers plenty to entertain you; enjoy a movie in our very own movie theatre; chill out with a book from our library in the lounge; stay in touch with friends and family on the communal computer, or via our wi-fi; take part in a variety of activities available in the area, which we are happy to arrange for you.
Rooms: Our two shared rooms each sleep four people and have their own bathroom, balcony and a comfortable seating area.
Suite: Our large private double suite, which is stylishly furnished with handmade furniture, has flat-screen TV, free wi-fi, chill out area and en-suite luxurious
Facilities & Services: A continental breakfast (included in the room rates) is served each morning. Among other foods, we make fresh bread in our kitchen daily, our own homemade jams and freshly squeeze our own juices, using the very best locally grown fruits.
The supermarket is a 10 minute walk from Green House. There are restaurants and bars, including sushi, a couple of minutes away.
Baleal is surrounded by miles of beautiful coastline. The nearest beach is 5 a minute walk from Green House but If you have a car or rent
A bike you are guaranteed to find a deserted beach somewhere close (even in summer!)

Directions: Green House is 90 km from Lisbon airport. Take A8 Oeste and continue approximately 70km until you reach IP6 towards Peniche. Approaching Peniche go straight over 2 roundabouts. At the 3rd roundabout take the 1st exit towards Baleal and Ferrel. Drive approximately 2 km and arrive in Baleal village. Pass the surf shops and the supermarket on your right. After approximately 500 metres you will pass a large car park next to the beach on the left where the road sharply bends to the right. Follow the bend to the right and stay on the road for approximately another 500 metres. Soon after passing ´Cocktail bar´ and ´Game Club´ on the right you will see a small parking area on the right and the sign for Green House. By Public Transport: From Lisbon Airport take a taxi or the Aeroshuttle bus to Sete Rios bus terminal in Lisbon, where you can then take a bus directly to Peniche. From Lisbon city centre you can take the metro to Jardim Zoológico which is just outside Sete Rios bus terminal.
